It was a shame, really, when one looked forward to the day to escape from class. Tonight was no different, except for the fact that she had decided to miss class this once. What better way to find a nice place to draw then to explore the area? Sure drawing in her room was ok, but she'd rather be outside drawing something more...."naturey". When she had first set out from the dorms, she'd had every intention to get somewhat lost in the forest. It would be quieter that way. Not having the Disciplinary Committee hanging around or even the other students. It would be nice but nothing ever happened that way.
She continued to walk deeper into the woods, hoping to find some sort of tranquility if even just to soothe her scattered thoughts. She sighed heavily as a small, gentle breeze brushed through the trees. Finally deciding what to do, she paused and sat down under the nearest tree, leaning up against it. She opened her trusty sketchbook and pulled the pencil out of the ring that bound it together. She tapped the eraser on her chin a couple times while she thought about how to begin. After thinking for a moment she started sketching what she saw before her. IT didn't take long before she was lost in her own world, oblivious to whatever happened around her as long as it didn't disturb her of course.

You do not try to stop a Lion from hunting S O WHY DO YOU CHANGE WHO I AM?
Sticking to her usual routine, the young violet vampire was out fleeing off from classes. Despite orders however, she decided tonight she would push her limits and go further out from the campus premises and off into the woods. It was risky and possibly even going to cause one of the headmasters “dogs” to come after her, but she needed the air. It was becoming more and more suffocating being trapped in the confinements of these walls. Everything had to run in such strict orders, and with purebloods lurking around all corners. The walls of her throat began to close on her at the mere thought of the controlling vermin’s. Daintily she spun her hand in the air, creating a small pool of hovering water as she dropped in one of the revolting tablets into the water. Although her body craved for so much more, for now this was what she had to deal with.
She continued walking for some time, listening to her surroundings of the night life. It filled her insides with a slight amount of pleasure that somewhere out there nature was taking its natural course, instead of being smothered by others to change. After a while though, a displaced noise came to her attention. Instantly she stopped in her tracks and tried to listen closer. It reminded her of the sound of scratching on an obscure surface, but she couldn’t place what specifically. Discreetly she approached the noise, the strong odor of a fellow vampire began to overwhelm her senses as she got closer. Carefully she pressed herself against a nearby tree a fair distance away enough to keep an eye on the other. She could tell it was a female, crouched down on the ground leaning over something. The girl had long, blond hair wrapped around her frame with the classic pale skin all vampires shared. Miwa couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but there was something different about this vampire’s essence as she watched intently. The unsettling feeling made her decide to keep her distance for some time until she could get a better idea what made this vampire seem so different.

She had nearly finished her little drawing when that annoying feeling of being watched came over her. She paused for a moment before continuing. The peace of the sanctuary she had chosen was gone, even the tiny little creatures of the night were wary of her visitor's presence. Even knowing someone was there, she tried to go back into her peaceful state of mind, the state that didn't involve her beginning to get paranoid. If she wanted to, she could easily have found out who or what was lurking nearby but, something told her not to or it would blow the purpose of hiding in plain sight. It had taken a deep breath or two before she was calm enough to continue with her own business, even if it was ditching class and ignoring Kaname's advice.
The situation called for a fresh page, how else would Kasumi be able to do what she did best. As she turned the page, a small sliver of pain registered in her mind. She looked at her hand curiously, seeing a thin line of crimson run down her finger. It was careless, getting a paper cut when there were so many vampires around. Honestly, she didn't really care. Anyone watching would have been able to tell from the way she so easily disregarded the fact there was blood.
Blood. It was the very thing keeping the vampires alive. For one to so easily ignore that fact was rare, even the most composed of vampires had their breaking point. Not even Kaname could hope to control everyone from reaching that point at one time or another. Then again, anyone who found out what she was would instantly assume that her goals were to keep in line those that Kaname could not. It was lovely, all the assumptions one could make about anything. The possibilities were endless. Lost in her own thoughts, she didn't realize that she had continued sketching until the wings of an owl took flight nearby, making enough noise to snap her back to reality. Letting her eyes drift back to the paper, it was rather surprising what she saw. If anything she had expected to see Zero or even Yuuki lurking behind the trees, but no. It was someone else. Someone she hadn't met.
Interesting.

Her surveillance continued for quite some time. Eventually she was able to figure out that the young girl was drawing, and the scratching noise was that of the pencil on paper. It was after some time that a strong, tingling sensation overwhelmed her senses as she caught whiff of the delightful sauce inside one’s body. Her eyes rolled back inside her head while she leaned back against the tree. Only after some time was she able to compose herself and realize that it was a fellow vampire that had done this. Was it intentional? Did they know she was here and trying to lure her out? Her eyes narrowed as she composed herself. Acting like a stalker wasn’t going to get this rolling any faster and she wanted to know why this vampire seemed different than most. Something about her presence was obscure.
“You’re a very intense artist I see. And clumsy one at that.” Her eyes glanced down at the wounded finger, making her nose wrinkle as she quickly shifted her eyes back to the vampires gaze. This girl, there was something not right about her, but what? The violet haired vampires mind was flipping about trying to decipher the mystery, not even realizing that the intense thoughts were creating a slight scowl on her usually soft features.

She looked up at the violet vampire that had so quietly been watching her. The scowl that met Kasumi's gaze was almost enough to make her smile. As the vampire mentioned her being an artist, she closed her notebook, almost as if on cue and the mention of the papercut was enough to get her to smile ever so faintly. "Its not that I'm clumsy. It's just a papercut. It happens." Her tone was soft, almost calming. Most people would assume it was an act designed to have people lower their defenses but in reality, it was natural. She always had a calm tone to her voice even when frightened.
The young blonde let her gaze drift back to the other's face once again. Something about her gaze made it seem like the blonde was looking straight into the soul. There was a hint of curiosity to her features along with the all seeing gaze of an artist. "You seem to be lost in thought, is there anything I can help you with?" Her tone was kind, like the smile she gave with her words. Silently, she prayed the violet haired vampire wouldn't notice the hesitation in her words. Terror coursed through her veins. Every moment that this newcomer stood before was another moment closer to her cover being blown.
That was something she couldn't afford. Something she would do anything to protect.

The violet haired vampire flared her nose as the fellow vampire denied clumsiness and claimed that it was something natural. It didn’t seem natural to her but oh well. She bit the inside of her cheek and shifted her gaze off into the distance. Only tall trees engulfed in darkness could be seen in and what appeared an endless abyss of shadow. Suddenly the other girl asked if something bothered her. Feeling that her features were tense, she rubbed her cheeks and wrinkled her nose.
“I’m uh…” It almost slipped. She wanted to ask why this girl was different but really, how do you ask that kind of thing? So she dodged it as fast as she could think, “Well, you don’t exactly seem the type to risk getting in trouble missing class. So what brought you so far out of campus?” Being late at night didn’t matter. It made sense for vampires to lurk late and even into the extreme early hours of the morning. It was the only time that their race could come out and express themselves to some extent without worrying about being hunted or “scaring” others.
“Risking trouble just to do a bit of drawing seems a bit extreme. Seems like something else would have had to bring you out here.” Her eyes remained off into the distance. Every so often she would throw her eyes back over to the girl in curiosity just in case she decided to make an aggressive move or had ill intentions.

The blonde vampire just smiled at the other's words. It was obvious she had tried to dodge the initial question since she didn't do much to cover her tracks. The innocent little smile fell to a frown when the violet vampire directed a question at her as well as a well thought comment. "I like the quiet. There's usually no one out here so it's the perfect place to relax and enjoy the scenery." The answer was honest. For the most part. It was a half truth hidden by a calming tone of voice.
She lifted her pale blue gaze to the violet vampire's face. She could see there was something on the vampire's mind. It was written all across her face. But that wasn't all. The vampire seemed a little unnerved and on edge. Most likely it was because of the fact the innocent looking blonde was a Pureblood. Slowly, the blonde stood up, holding her notebook against her chest as if it were some sort of security blanket. If one looked close enough, they could almost say that the blonde felt at home in the dark.
She let herself smile faintly at the other vampire. It wasn't often that someone seemed so scattered in their thoughts. It was interesting but at the same time sad. Curious, she thought over her next words carefully before speaking. "You look a little on edge. Maybe I can help you relax a little. Care to walk with me?"
