The night was dark and cool and it was perfect for going out for a nightly run. Mattaru had found himself ditching classes today to just relax and chill. Of course, he knew that he’d end up getting some Day Class girls who were fans watching him as he ran around the track field. They would cheer him on and it was something that he quite enjoyed. He liked to get his daily attention, and if he felt like he didn’t get quite enough when they were to be escorted to their classes he would find himself skipping in search of the attention that he wanted.
Of course, he couldn’t pass up an opportunity that he got where he could just flirt with girls. It was a hobby of his and a habit that he found himself slipping into without realizing it sometimes. Of course, he wanted to guarantee that he would be more popular than Aidou. He rather disliked all the attention that the male got. He hated the fact that the girl’s called him, Idol. His name wasn’t as cool where it could sound like such a popular name. He always knew that he was at a disadvantage when it came to the popularity department for names.
Of course, there were others who were a part of the Night Class who were popular with the Day Class but they never seemed to care. Actually, he noticed that they would find the Day Class annoying. Mattaru didn’t like that! He thought they were very interesting and extremely adorable with how expressive they could be with their feelings. It was nice when someone could be like that. He hated being around most of the Night Class because they weren’t as open and emotional. They usually found it easier to keep to themselves.
Of course, Mattaru liked to go around and bug the other students. It was fun to see their reactions to his happy and flamboyant personality. He was a bit wary of Ruka though. She seemed a little too uptight for his liking and was always a bit stuck up to him. She never seemed to want to return a word to him unless it was to scold him for always making things difficult for Kaname. Of course, he knew that he was difficult and obviously at times he could be a huge problem for Kaname. He didn’t really care as long as he wan’t hurting anyone. He didn’t see how him acting up at times was really a big issue.
He panted softly as he ran around the track. His breaths were paced out and he still seemed to sparkle and shine even though a normal person running around the track would look tired and worn out. He pushed himself to run faster as he heard the cheers of some of the Day Class girls who snuck out. He snickered to himself as he wondered if they would grow loud enough to bring one of the guardians out. Of course, he really hoped that it would be Yuki. She was adorable after all and he loved to tease her. She was just too cute with how she reacted to him! She was way too nice for her own good.
His crimson gaze moved towards the stands where a few Day Class girls were and he eventually found himself stopping to send them a wave. He found himself walking towards them casually with a small smile fastened on his lips. “How are you lovely ladies tonight? You’re all looking quite beautiful.” He let out a soft chuckle as he grinned at the girls who seemed to push each other to get closer to him. He adored them so much because they all seemed to fight and argue for his attention. It was moments like this that made him love the fact that he was a part of the Night Class.
He spent a great amount of time talking with each of the girl’s and as time passed on some of them grew tired and went back to their dorm room. Of course, they had to sneak back and past the guardians. He wished them well and hoped that they wouldn’t be caught by Zero. He was just so nasty and mean towards other people. He knew that he had a reason to hate and be angry to vampires, but he didn’t think it was right that he could get away with being mean to humans. It was kind of cruel in Mattaru’s eyes that Zero could be so mean to beings with such pretty faces.
It was true that vampires were naturally beautiful, but he also found a quirky interest in human girls. They had a different sort of beauty about them. Maybe it was the fact that they were alive, or maybe it was the fact that they were naïve, clueless, and expressive. Whatever it was, it always seemed to draw the male in and want to surround himself with them. Maybe he was the odd one out. Maybe deep down he wished that he had been born a human and would be just as naïve and have a more normal life. He envied the guys in the Day Class. They all seemed to have closer relationships with each other and were able to bond. In the Night Class it was a lot harder to find someone to relate with.
Even so, he would always find some way to liven things up. It was all he figured he was good for after all. Maybe they didn’t like him because he tried to keep things interesting and lively. However, he was determined that he wouldn’t give up so easily even if people didn’t like him for his choices and how he would react. He would continue fighting and would continue being himself to the very end. After all, he finally was able to gain freedom at this school. It was something that he had yearned for greatly for a long while.
