Sitting over his desk, hunched over a pile of papers, Andrew let out a sigh. Looking to one of the large windows once again, the young professor couldn't help but feel a little crest fallen over the idea of not being able to wander the grounds on such a nice afternoon. He had just finished his last class of the day and was more then eager to get back to his room and just go about his hobbies. It's not that he didn't love his job, he just wondered sometimes if the way he was going about it was enough to really engage the youth that he was in charge of during certain hours of the day.

Turning back to the task at hand, Drew ended up not looking at the papers all that long before he placed his elbows on the desk so that he could bury his face in his currently un-gloved hands. The darkness that came with hiding his face was welcomed. It gave him a sense of peace to just listen to the world around him as opposed to looking at it. Truth be told he found comfort in the dark, it was just how he operated since he was a small child. There were two things about him that had never changed since his youth, one being his aspiration to be a teacher, and two his love of Horror. The darkness always brought him one step closer to his not so secret love of the genre.

After a long moment, Andrew finally decided that nothing was getting done, and that it was time to get back to grading papers. The sooner he finished, the sooner he could draw up a new lesson plan, and head back to his living quarters. He found it difficult to not gaze out the window or through his open classroom door, but his new found diligence wouldn't allow him to be so easily distracted. With the occasional swipe of his red pen, Andrew was getting closer and closer to being able to just check out for the afternoon and seek more hobby like interests until it was time for bed.

[Kuronosuke Shiroichi]

It had been an extremely long day filled with classes. It was one of the days that Kuro could not simply find a break; which was a great annoyance on his part. He just wanted to get out of classes, but he had skipped enough to the point where he had found himself falling a great deal behind in his course work. He didn’t like that at all. He would spend a lot of his nights anyways trying to wander around the campus to bother students from the Night Class. Sometimes he really wondered why he became so interested in doing that. Was it the drama? No. It would make more sense to him if he told himself that he’d do it in order to keep the peace and eliminate any student who would bite a student.

He couldn’t stand the thought of vampires. They were nothing but monsters who only cared about themselves and their well-being. In a sense, they were just as disgusting as humans were. He wondered if he really disliked them because of his childhood, or maybe it was just his way of putting the blame on something that he didn’t really understand. He remembered back to a point in time where vampires seemed to be rather harmless to him. He would hear about them in stories and he actually loved stories like that the most.

However, after his parents passed away and he had lost his guardian… He had found himself destroying those books. Ripping the pages in frustration and rage and then burning the pieces. It wasn’t the books fault. It never truly was. Deep down he knew that, but he would never quite admit to his own faults. He was far too prideful. He just didn’t want to deal with the shame of being wrong. In the end, he knew that he was still a child at heart that was still grieving. He had never had anyone to cry out his sorrows to. He only had a strict line to walk afterwards when he had decided to join the Hunter’s Association. They had no concerns for his innocence and just wanted to assess and test to see if he was even fit to become one.

It was when he went through these tests that he had no choice but to lock his heart away completely and entirely. He had to become the boy he was today. Strict, cold, and isolated. He knew that he would never really have time for friends, but he would always find himself frustrated and would treat other people rather poorly even if it wasn’t his intention. This especially happened for vampires at the school. His hatred would always get the best of him. Then again, he figured that if he remained alone it was far better this way. No one could hurt or betray him, and no one could distract him from his true goal.

Kuronosuke had found himself late to turn in an English paper. He had procrastinated in getting it done for the past two weeks that he had time to work on it. Every time he thought he’d have motivation to work on it, he found himself quickly giving up and finding the time to sleep. Sleep was precious to him, so he would always choose that over an assignment. This was primarily because if something bad were to happen or if he had to go out to get rid of a Level E he needed to be awake and alert to fight the beast. If he was tired he wasn’t as alert and would find himself getting hurt. He honestly couldn’t afford to lose his good eye. He would become a useless hunter then.

He exhaled slightly as he reached the classroom where his professor would be and he figured he’d get scolded. Of course, he already had many excused already noted, but on the other hand he also liked to flirt his way out of not getting points taken off of his school work for being late. That was one of his plans. He knew he’d probably have to do it, but he didn’t quite mind since this teacher was very handsome and seemed to strike interest in him. He wondered if this teacher would not accept the excuse of him being busy with stuff from the Hunter’s Association.

With a quick entrance, his gaze was on his teacher and he tossed a stapled stack of papers onto the desk. “That’s the paper due today. I expect a perfect score.” His tone was insistent. He was a perfectionist and couldn’t stand to have anything less than his expectations. He had spent the past two hours fixing it up to his standards and proof reading. There was no possible way that he’d let this teacher take off points for the paper being late. His bright blue eyes were intent now as he took in his teachers face and expression as he waited to hear what his teacher would say to him.

Curious, this paper doesn't seem to have a name on it...honestly who spends as much time as this student did drafting up a paper and then carelessly leaves their name off of it. That seems completely... Rasing a single hand to his face, Andrew began rubbing his temple in frustration. It was times such as this one that he wondered if what he was doing was a good use of his time or not. It seemed like the kids of today's youth didn't take as much interest in their studies as he had when he was their age. Surely he could say something, but that was the quickest way to become one the most “un-cool" teachers in all of Cross Academy. Yes Andrew start a lesson with “Back in my day" and just watch how quickly the last traces of your credibility in the eyes of your students flutter away.

It was during his inner battle that a student had managed to make it through the door, across the room and too his desk without him having any awareness of it until said student had placed yet another stapled together pack of papers on his desk for his perusal. Clearly not amused by this act, Drew had to try his best to remain calm. “Mr.Shiroichi, is it? I presume you are aware that the assignment was due at the end of today's class, and that class had been over for some time now. So with that being said, why is it you chose to turn your paper in now?" Lifting the packet from his desk, Drew flipped through some of the pages, took a glance at some of the various paragraphs, then set it back down in the same space it had occupied just moments before. “Especially after putting, what seems to be, a great deal of effort into the assignment." What had started out as a conversation with a crude tone, turned into something closely resembling the beginning of a game. This student seems rather arrogant...but I'd say he's earned the right to be...for now. "I must say, your work is rather brilliant, but as you know I cannot make exceptions. Tardiness will cost you, I'm sure you understand." Leaning casually back in his chair, Drew was suddenly feeling more like a King then anything. If he had come to the correct conclusion then Kuro wouldn't be too happy about a less then perfect mark, And what better time to get his kicks?

Kuro didn’t quite care nor understand deadlines. It was because of this that he absolutely did not respect a deadline once it was given. It was funny. He was a very intelligent boy and was precise in everything that he did accomplish. He just didn’t like to always turn things in on time. He figured that he was always too busy with his work outside of school, so to him school could wait. If a teacher complained he would do all in his power to manipulate the situation to his very own liking. After all, he didn’t like to be told no. That just wasn’t fun.

It was today that he realized he was a little off the deadline. It was funny because he had at least tried for once. It was true that English was one of his better subjects, so he always seemed to be praised for his works by his professors regardless of when he turned them in. He figured that it would work fairly the same way on his new English professor. However, he wondered how far it would go with this handsome male in order for him to get his way and exactly what he wants. It wasn’t like Kuro to let any points at all be deducted. He simply would not allow this act to happen.

He stared his English professor down with his sapphire orbs shining with intentness. He observed the male carefully and let his thoughts get lost and wander in his mind while he waited for a reply. He figured that this teacher would be like the rest of them had been to him. That would most definitely be not accepting of his lateness with turning things in. He wondered what he would do in this situation. He could make excuses up whenever he wanted to. It was something that he had to become quite good at after all. If he was to encounter a Level E he would need to get away with an excuse before they found out that he was a hunter. He figured that it wasn’t going to be that difficult to get away once more.

When his professor spoke he was quite thankful that he wasn’t addressed by his first name. He would have reacted very harshly if called Kuronosuke. He just disliked his name. He never would explain to anyone why he didn’t like it though. On all of his papers he would write Kuro and he’d make sure the rest of his name on badges or school I.D’s would fade so that he would only see Kuro. When his teacher questioned him on why he decided to turn in his paper now he simply rolled his eyes. It wasn’t amusing one bit how he was being treated. He wasn’t a child. However, he figured that this professor was ignorant to the fact that he was a hunter. “I’m busy.” His tone was very calm, cool, and collected. He didn’t want to come off as too disrespectful, so he decided it was better to try and get his professor to understand a bit more. “You see… I work with the Hunter’s Association. I have far greater responsibilities than other students. In fact, you should be honored that you’re getting the paper turned in now.”

He let his arms cross and he exhaled and smirked rather proudly. He was proud of himself. He watched as his professor flipped through his paper and glanced at his work. He always picked something interesting to him. Since the teachers were well aware of the Night Class and taught them too he found that it was easier for him to write his personal narrative about hunting Level E’s. It was easy to write about and he found it fun to be descriptive too with how he would bring an end to them. He thought that he was going to be able to get out of this situation with ease, but when he heard about how brilliant his work was he felt his ego begin to swell and almost get the better of him.

However, when his professor told him that he would still have to suffer a penalty he felt a lot of anger swell up in him now. He slammed both his hands on his professor’s desk causing things to move or fall at random places on the desk. It was this rage that had consumed him more than anything. He would not understand or let himself accept even losing one point. “I will simply not tolerate this!” With that exclamation, he swung his arm and sent a few items flying off of the desk with loud thud as they would finally hit the ground. It was disgusting how people would not listen to him or reason. He didn’t want to have to resort to threatening his professor, but he figured if this behavior could not be corrected then he would handle things his own way. “You will give me the perfect score that I deserve.” His tone was insistent. He pulled back a little and tried to collect himself once more.

Kuro couldn’t control his temper when he got so upset like this, but he figured he could make up for it. He paced towards the chalkboard that was near his professor’s desk and then turned to face his professor. “You know how much I enjoy your class.” He stretched his arms lightly now. “I think it would be a pity if you didn’t let me off this once, right?” He got closer and closer as he spoke and now his face was only inches away from his professor. “You see… I really like you…” He grinned broadly and let his fingertip poke his professor’s nose carefully. “I have a lot to offer as well… I’m not a student that you can just take lightly after all.” He smirked and blew air into his professor’s ear and wondered if he would get any sort of reaction or interest from the male. If he did react, he was positive that he would pursue it further. After all, he did think his professor was interesting and cute and he didn’t want to go further if his professor did not sway towards males like that. It was all luck and chance when he did this. If rejected he would calculate that his professor would not be interested in males like him. He waited to hear how his professor would respond; his gaze intent and face close. This would definitely be a very interesting evening.
