The sun seemed to be rising in the sky as Zero found himself stalking back to his dorm rather exhausted. Being a class guardian turned out to be a lot more effort than it was worth. Not only did you have to stay up at almost all hours, but you also needed to also attend classes at the academy as well during the day. It was almost an impossible schedule to keep up with. He knew that if he didn’t go to class that Yuuki would surely lecture him later, but he always would bring up her constant sleeping in class that seemed to affect her grades greatly. It was funny how Zero could skip class when he felt like it and could still pass his courses with flying colors. Yuuki on the other hand seemed to not do as well. He guessed that the lack of sleep probably didn’t help her thought process. He figured that today would be another day he’d skip and just not care. He knew that they didn’t have any tests or homework due so he wasn’t really needed. If they did have any assignments for that day he knew that he’d be good as well because Yuuki would kindly pick them up for him even though he consistently would ask her not to.
Last night had been a ridiculous shift. Normally things would be fairly quiet, but with a new event getting ready to happen there were girls from the Day Class hiding around campus as they tried to get either a picture or a few words in with the males from the Night Class. Zero really hated that more than anything. He didn’t see or find anything attractive about vampires; or the Night Class for that matter. On a higher note, it seemed to keep the girls away from him. He did have a few girls who tried to pursue after him, but he was sure to give them the vibe and warning that they had absolutely no chance at all of winning him over. He just didn’t like any of them in that way, so there was no point in trying to lead someone on.
He quietly walked down the halls that led to his dorm and let out a small breath as he got closer to his room. It seemed almost too quiet for comfort to him in the dorms right now, so he wondered if it really was just a silent morning, or if he’d have bigger problems to deal with in a little while. He let out another breath as he tried to keep his composure because he was feeling slight pain again from his hunger. He had been doing so good too! Not a blood tablet for a little over two weeks now. Fighting it off seemed to be difficult at times. It felt like you had to push the entire world off of you. Then again, when you were alone you didn’t have people triggering that hunger, nor did you have to worry about endangering anyone if you were to lose your focus.
He let his fingers wrap around the doorknob as he found himself in front of his room, and he pushed his door open to reveal darkness. He preferred to rest in total darkness, so because of that he’d had a black curtain hung over his window to help keep the light of the sun from entering through the window. It wasn’t too hard to navigate around either since he knew his room like the back of his hand. He walked over towards his bed after closing his door and he threw himself down on it to rest his eyes. He opened them tiredly once again, however, because something seemed to be way too off for his own comfort. He wondered if he was just being too paranoid, but he felt almost like someone else was in the room with him, or even watching him. It was too dark for him to see for sure, but he figured that if someone were in there they would more than likely reveal themselves to him by turning on the light so that they could see as well.
His violet eyes scanned the room casually as he remained completely still and silent in the darkness. He was so sure that there was another presence, but he was confused on who it could be. Yuuki would obviously be asleep in her own dorm, and he didn’t allow himself to have a roommate at his request and also by the Headmaster’s orders. So, if someone were to be here with him, the biggest question of all was who in the world could it possibly be!?
